At Maxwell & Williams, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products. The following guarantees apply under normal domestic use and are provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Maxwell & Williams Cutlery

Maxwell & Williams guarantee this product to be free of material and manufacturing defects for 25 years under normal domestic use. Damage caused by misuse or abuse is not covered by this guarantee. Maxwell & Williams will at its discretion, repair or replace at no charge unsatisfactory products which are deemed faulty under this guarantee.

Your Maxwell & Williams salt and pepper mill contains the finest quality materials to ensure durability and reliability. We are so confident of the quality of our mills that your mill is guaranteed for 5 years. Maxwell & Williams guarantee this product to be free of material and manufacturing defects for 5 years under normal domestic use. Damage caused by misuse or abuse is not covered by this guarantee. Maxwell & Williams will at its discretion, repair or replace at no charge unsatisfactory products which are deemed faulty under this guarantee.

Maxwell & Williams Enamelled Cast Iron Cookware

Maxwell & Williams stands behind the quality of its enamelled cast iron cookware, offering a Limited Lifetime Warranty, subject to the following coverage periods:

Cast Iron Body:
Maxwell & Williams guarantees the cast iron body to be free from defects in materials, construction and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner, when used under normal domestic conditions and in accordance with the supplied care and use instructions.

Enamel Coating:
The enamel coating is guaranteed for 3 years from the original date of purchase against manufacturing defects, including enamel that chips, cracks, peels or flakes during the normal course of domestic cooking.

For the purposes of this warranty, “lifetime” means the lifetime of the original purchaser. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser or original recipient of the product as a gift and is not transferable.

Exclusions:

The following are excluded from the terms and conditions of the warranty:

Normal changes in the appearance, colour or gloss of the enamel on the inside or outside of the product due to normal wear and tear.
Cosmetic staining, discolouration, utensil marks or light scratches that do not affect the cookware’s performance.

Minor cosmetic variations or blemishes inherent in the casting and finishing processes that do not affect performance.

Chipping, cracking, sticking or other damage caused by incorrect use, professional use or dropping, knocking or impact.

Damage caused by overheating, heating the cookware while empty, allowing it to boil dry or using excessive heat.

Damage caused by thermal shock, including placing hot cookware in cold water or on a cold or wet surface.

Damage caused by metal utensils, sharp implements, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or other improper cleaning methods.

Damage caused by improper storage or stacking without suitable protection.

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident or failure to follow the care and use instructions.

Commercial, professional or other non-domestic use.

Indirect or consequential damage, except where such liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Remedy

Where a product is found to have a defect covered by this warranty, Maxwell & Williams will, at its discretion and subject to Australian Consumer Law, repair or replace the product at no charge.

If the original product is no longer available, it may be replaced with a comparable product of similar function and value. The replacement may not be the same colour or finish.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits of this warranty are in addition to any rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods to which the warranty relates.
